Film Noir “A Walk Downtown” | Hannah & Travis

My muse (the nagging voice inside my head) would not let me be until I did a shoot inspired by the film noir movies in the 1940′s-1950′s. I have been plagued for MONTHS. And really? It’s one of my favorite genres of film. Maybe I’m a bit dark, but I love drama and emotion, and to be able to portray that in my work is something I strive for everyday. I think it took months because I haven’t found the right couple. Each styled session I shoot is tailored specifically to the individual couples. So when I met Hannah while teaching a modeling workshop for FGCU students at Koreshan State Park, and found out she had a long-time boyfriend, Travis – it just clicked. Travis and Hannah have been together since sophomore year in high school and met at a church camping retreat. Aww!

A Walk Downtown is about two people who met one night, spend all evening together, and depart – never to see each other again. I hope you enjoy!

Fort Myers Beach – Bowditch Beach | Family Session

Had a WONDERFUL time spending it with The Daileys, Gibsons, and Seiferts at Bowditch Beach. All of them converging to Fort Myers to spend a weekend together from all over the US, and one from Canada!

So full of fun and laughter, the four boys were such a hoot and total hams for the camera. Kerry and I felt so blessed to be able to spend a gorgeous Florida sunset with this family. Thank you for trusting us with your portraits!

I received a beautiful e-mail from Rusty Seifert after he received his images. These make me SO happy!

Zito & Garrett Moves to 96.1 KROCK | Old Promo

So I get a call last month from Gentry Thomas telling me that the Zito & Garrett show is moving stations and needs new promos soon. So I was on my analytics this week and realized that not many people know that 1.) where Zito and Garrett went and 2.) I only posted one image from our mini promo shoot last November!

So, without further delay, I give you the old Zito & Garrett show on New Rock 99x, now moved to 96.1 KRock!

“World Famous” Cigar Bar & El Tiante Cigars Ad Appears in the Red Sox Spring Training Programs!

I woke up this morning to a tag on Facebook from Daniel Tiant, one of the co-founders and CEO of Tiant Cigar Group. It was this image!! Working with Tiant Cigar Group has been really fun. We have become good friends in the process of making images – which has always been my goal. To me, you cannot be as effective as a photographer if you cannot connect or form relationships with your clients.

In this particular shot, we set up right in the “World Famous” Cigar Bar humidor, styled the shelving with 1929 Castiano Blends (Richie’s father’s birthday blend) and El Tiante Cigars. Simple and easy set up. One alienbee and one white shoot through umbrella, triggered with a hotshoe on camera. Kerry, my boyfriend/assistant did a fantastic job on the post processing. I think we are going to make a pretty good team.

Anyone in the Southwest Florida region should go check out the new Jet Blue Park off Daniels Parkway in Fort Myers, FL because it’s awesome. While you’re there, grab a program and tell me what you think.

Extend & Mend International | Downtown Fort Myers | Promo Shoot

Earlier this evening I was on “Life Through the Lens” with my co-hosts and special guests Robin Griggs Woods and Alan Shapiro and we were discussing the concept of “Pay it Forward.” I love paying it forward. I’m addicted to the warm and fuzzy feelings I get when people are happy. That’s probably why I love weddings so much. Anyways, we are digressing from the main point.

Last month I had the opportunity to do a very fun promo with Extend & Mend International. A fantastic company dedicated to making women feel beautiful, building confidence, and “mending self-esteem.” When I spoke to Christa about why she came up with her company, it really touched my heart. Her best friend Ruthea was diagnosed with cancer in high school. The fact that she had cancer didn’t phase her – it was when she lost her hair that she fell apart. With this realization, Christa set out and created Extend and Mend International, bringing hair extensions, wigs, and the such to women suffering from cancer or other hair related aliments.

Being a big hair person myself, it was a great match – we both believed in our cause. She to promote her business, myself to make sure she had great photos that showed off her hair products and the women who wear them. I hope you all enjoy the following photos, these women are from different backgrounds, some modeled before, others never. But each totally rocked it!!
