If you have a wedding planner, the wedding planner is going to ask you for a list of each of your wedding vendors and their contact info – this is really important for timeline creation and to make sure everyone knows where they should be and what time they are allocated. But this list is also important for every other vendor working your wedding as well.
I think it’s a great idea to have a list to give to your vendors. It’s a small industry full of people who love you, weddings and want to help each other out – some of your vendors may have worked with each other in the past, and some may be curious to new vendors. By providing a list prior to your wedding – this opens lines of communications between each vendor where we can form new relationships and understandings to make your day go easier.
This is also super helpful if you, or one of your vendors, wishes to have your wedding published. It’s a great way to share with the world how much work, dedication and planning you two did to celebrate your marriage. As a photographer, getting published helps my credibility with brides and grooms just like you, and by crediting all your amazing wedding vendors – they too can share in celebrating your wedding with the web and print world.
